Hi!

I'm Sanjay Nelson, a software engineer based in NYC. I have a polyglot background and mostly work in Elixir currently. Outside of that, I'm a creative fella with my hands in various involements, mostly centered around music.

Code

I've spent over 8 years engineering for small and large teams. I have significant experience developing web systems with spefic focuses including realtime web and mobile UIs, data modeling/state management, distributed systems, event handling, external integrations and API design, observability, and performance optimizations. I'm looking for more Elixir work currently, so feel free to reach out!

Music

I've been heavily involved in the world of music for 15+ years multi-instrumentalist, audio engineer, and big opinionated music nerd. I collaborate with many to create and support music across eras, genres, and scenes. Lately I've been into tailoring my vinyl collection, delving in canonically influential artists, listening to NTS, and looking for more bands that sound like Orange Juice.
